Jason explained it in the news post:
Not griefers, exactly.
I feel like the game kinda stagnates once people reach the upper levels of tech. Obviously, there's nothing left to "do" at that point.
I'm going to be adding content to the game every week, but for the foreseeable future, people will be able to catch up to me before the end of the week.
It's impossible for me to make content that will take you MORE than a week to play through if I only spend a week making it. In fact, so far, it has taken people a few hours to play through the content that I spend a week making.
The idea is that there will be an apocalypse trigger in the upper reaches of the tech tree. But it will move and change each week, going further up as the tech moves further up.
And, when people get really bored of high-level tech, they can trigger it and start over again. But every week, it gets harder and harder to trigger as it moves further up the tech tree.
Eventually, when I'm done adding tech to the game in 2 years, the apocalypse trigger would be a nuclear bomb or something like that. And it will hopefully take people a full week or more to get to that point in tech.
After all, this IS a game about what it's like to build civilization from scratch, if we had to.
Over the past 2+ weeks, people hadn't really been doing that anymore, as civilization had become established.
Anyway, I'll be keeping a close eye on this and adjusting it along the way.

Okay i've tried that a few times but still doesn't work. Where did you install it Tarkolis?
I Installed it on my second Hard Disc..
D:\One Hour One Life
For me it always workes to just start the game again after the error message closes the game. (without moving the files)
Even though it says it failed to update, it actually didn't fail...
I was born as a boy with two brothers into a pretty rich village. It had a huge farm and already tons of carrots.
I saw that there are many plates but no cakes, so I decided to start baking. After starting a fire and making around 9 pies, my mother came to me and told me how proud she was of me.
That was the last time I heared from here.. Never saw her again.
When I stopped making pies to get some firewood I noticed that the village is really empty.. At first I thought I was alone but then I saw my two brothers. One of them confirmed that we are indeed the last people alive in town and also in the entire area, since there are only abandoned villages around ours..
We were sad but also hopefull that someday someone might find this village and survived on what we have started.
So one of my brothers finished a road and the last thing I did was to pick carrots one last time and prepare the farm for the possible next people.
I couldn't finish repairing it, as I was the second of my brothers to die of old age, but my last brother told me he will continue fixing the farm.
This was a really sad moment to see this town die and seeing us three brothers standing together and saying farewell.. But this is definetly a moment in this game I will always remember..
Jason has the STRANGEST set of fans.
Yes, the strangest fans. Like bringing up a holocaust comparison just because someone said he wont buy it. Or making fun of someone just because he has a different opinion.

@jord1990 I agree.
@Thexus lol, yeah sorry, I'm one of those weird old people that don't like to share their personal information with strangers from the Internet..
@jord1990 Ok, I'm going to do that.. I just wanted to make sure there isn't any importand reason I didn't see here..
Is there really a need for the developer to know my name and adress?
Because if I really have to enter, I won't buy it.
Is it ok if I just enter "-" or something in those fields or does my account get banned for that?
